Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is already a massive success! While the first game peaked at 96,069 simultaneous players on Steam. Its sequel has already outdone that by a significant margin.

According to SteamDB, up to 233,586 users have played the second installment simultaneously on Valve’s platform, roughly two and a half times more than Kingdom Come: Deliverance. And this happened just four days after its release.

This number is likely to keep growing in the coming days, especially with upcoming updates and game tweaks.

A Record-Breaking Launch Despite Controversy

This rapid success comes despite recent controversy surrounding Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. A debate broke out over the potential inclusion of a queer romance in the game. Some players criticized this decision, accusing the studio of "succumbing to woke culture."

Daniel Vávra, director of Warhorse Studios, clarified the issue, explaining that the player's freedom in the RPG is central to the game's philosophy:
"This is an RPG. Every decision belongs to the player, and the consequences follow the social and moral standards of the time."

Despite the controversy, launch numbers show the game is drawing a massive player base and could very well become one of the biggest successes of 2025.
